April 11, 1969 I was riding shotgun. Jay at the wheel with a Three On The Tree.Blazing to Dorton Arena for the Jimi Hendrix Experience!

Several times we were riding around in the country and Jay would think nothing of driving to Wilson for Parkers BBQ!  American flag papers

Jay had his own folding poker table that he would set up in his bedroom for regular Saturday night poker games — nickel, dime quarter. Pink Floyd on the turntable. Low hole, Midnight Baseball, and Jay’s favorite, Follow the Bitch. I had to be home by 11 but the game would go on long after I left, and the post-game show would be Monday at school under the walkway by the main building where the hippies hung out. Jay was a good guy, a practical person without pretensions who was always weaving a rye observation into the conversation.  May he rest in blessed memory.

Jay sold me a 1969 Gibson SG electric guitar in about 1971 or 72. I played a lot of gigs with that guitar,I've still got it today.
