Lynn was married to John Herron (also GHS '71) they both served in the military (army). Lynn was a sergeant with the Greensboro Police Department for 17 years and also a retired Master SGT with the NC National Guard. She passed away in April of 2002.

Lynn was a dear friend from our high school years through adulthood. Our memories are vast, but I still miss her. Joan Bradley Cudworth
James Edward Avent, Jr.
I remember Lynn from the band program at both Kiser and Grimsley. We both played the clarinet and were seated nearby each other. I remember fondly our woodwind instructor Mr. Edgar Rooker, who was close to being a perfectionist as the late Mr. Herbert Hazelman. I am not without hope that I will see Lynn again one day.

Lynn was a good friend all during high school. I thought of her a great deal this past weekend as I am sure many did! Lynn, you were missed!
