Denny always had a kind word and a gentle smile in high school.  He was somewhat reserved, but when he spoke, it was interesting to hear what he had to say.

Denny and I were both quiet, and sat close in classes, so became kindred spirits.  I was sad to see that such a gentle person was gone from this world.
